Hey Bolly, you are going to a great extent to make sure those cabs arrive safely. You are providing more protection than the original factory shipping carton.
Are you getting compensated for your time and expense? I charge for packing on everything under about US$125 and even then it is item dependent. People get more than their money's worth.
It would be interesting to see how much a place like the UPS Store would charge to do a similar job as what you are doing. Packing is a whole other industry, but everyone wants a stellar job for free. To them I say dream on...

hi guys, to get that kind of work down downtown, I'm guessin it'd run ya close to $25/hr, that's specialty work. BTW, you guys should see me work my magic on a level. 
array, I usually like to get a little something for materials, most times I can scrounge them for free and then we're both happy. I usually guess well as to what I'll use, not in this case...oh, my labour is free.
