So I started a new job, moved to a new town, and scored some new stuff and here i am to share. First score is a pair of DLK 1.5's at a rummage sale while i was moving (had a truck full of stuff too, but i made room). Price? 5 bucks for the pair. Second score is a pair of minimus 7w's that my uncle gave me at easter dinner. Price? free. Third score is a pair of EPI 100V's (already refoamed) at a local goodwill. Where i was also fortunate enough to meet Fuzzy Lumpkins, A fellow AKer. Cabs are near mint and as i said, someone refoamed them before donating them. Price? 30 bucks for the pair. Last but not least is the end of my quest to find a decent mini-amp for the office. This is a sanyo DCA 1700X Decoder-Amplifier i found at a local school rummage. Quite fully featured for a mini and probably comes in at about 10 watts per side. Price? $12.50. If anyone has any info on the Sanyo amp i would appreciate it. Pics below. CHEERS!!! :D :thmbsp: Oh yea, Everything works too!!

Those woofers on the DLKs look strange. Every one I have seen has DLK written on the dust cap. How do they sound?

dew.

They sound great! I dont think they are replacements but i will pull them this week to see if i can get some numbers from them.

I did a quick check on the auction site and did find another set of DLK's with the same color cones and dust caps for the woofers. These are 2's though with 12" woofers. The third picture is of the terminal cup from my 1.5's. I've noticed that the DLK's with the square terminal cups have the unmarked woofers as opposed to what may be later models with round terminal cups and marked woofers. If anyone has more concrete info please chime in.

......More 1 1/2's in Central WI

I was also garage saleing on saturday and found a pair of DLK 1 1/2's for $4.
Mine have the round terminal cups on the rear, and have 4 digit serial numbers. The company address is also different from the above - mine were made on Snelling Ave in Minneapolis.

The woofers on this pair are also different - one pair have black cones with a grey rubber surround, and the other pair has green cones, black rubber surrounds, and the dlk on the dustcap. I had both of the woofers out and they are identical in construction. This pair had some really ratty, warped grills on a fiberboard cutout. The cabinets are beat up pretty good, and I also have a tweeter that doesn't have full output. But, the adjustment control works fine and has no static. The interior of the boxes has about 2" of wool type insulation that was probably against the interior wall, and has glue on all the joints. From what I could find on audioreview, not a bad "house brand" of speakers.

On a related note, I also found a pair of Klipsch Kss-2 small bookshelf/wall mount speakers for $20, and passed up CV RE20's, and a Pioneer HTIB system
from 1998. I was probably out for 5 hours and hit about 50 homes.
