Finished re-assembling my Marantz 2252B that I purchased on Craigslist recently. Now that it is all cleaned up, and all lights replaced, this thing looks and sounds terrific - I really like it. I find that it sounds quite warm, yet accurate - I have heard reports of brightness on this model, but I don't hear it - in fact it is much less bright than my Rotel reference setup. I have played a wide variety of music on this receiver, and it especially seems to like acoustic music - lots of nice detail - and there is plenty of power to rock out as well. This was my first vintage receiver project ever, and I really enjoyed learning from all of you guys, and doing the work was fun too. I think I might have gotten the bug - I am going to pick up a 2210 and a turntable for my wife's attic office today!
