Thorens 124 - Spring mounted motor question

Just received my springs from Hanze Hifi in the Netherlands. Look to be exactly as advertised.

I went to install them, and it looks like I might need the series II motor mount posts? Mine seem very low relative to the height of the springs...

Can anyone shed light on the subject? Anything "spring" to mind?

My understanding is that these are a further upgrade on the mkii motor grommets, so my thought is, yes.

I could be wrong though but I installed the springs on my 124 with mkii posts and the fit seemed just right.
 
Don't have the springs myself, but I asked this question on another spring mod thread and was told that yes, you need the longer posts.
 
Argh. This little beast is not shy about asking for money.

Time to sell some albums on bartertown.
