The move to the new server is done. There are some software and database maintenance updates in process. This has us passing the hat around to help out. We appreciate any donations. Seriously, even a dollar helps. The payment page may be found here - https://www.audiokarma.org/support.html
It's 9:00 pm and I just made it home after a late day playing with wires and finally driving 30 minutes each way to pick up the "G".
I'm pooped! Too poopeed to take photos or even begin to clean her up.
The seller over stated a few things.. The face is in pretty good to excellent condition, rather grimey, and has a few very minor superficial scrapes. One of the pot splined shafts is slighly bent and it has a left channel with level issues that may (probably) or may not be clean-fixed.
For these reasons--he accepted $200 and of course I got the clean CT-F9191 with some meter issues for free.
I'm really happy overall and have a potentially great deal on a unit I've coveted for sometime.
I'll post before and after pics this weekend and also let all know how the lower output channel challenge went.
OMG! I cleaned her up and not only does she sparkle with beauty but she makes even my unmodded 7's sing like never before!
I was so ready to clean her up the next day that I forgot to take 'before' photo's until I was halfway through the spraying/cleaning.
I finally got done today with the electro-colonic and carefully reassembled it. After the cursury switch and knob settings check--and a tense moment of prayer to th DeOxit gods--I flipped it on to find all working superbly except for a burned bulb.
I rate this one a 9.9 (or 9.8 for the discriminating) and I think it qualifies as a steal for $200!
PS. Added a photo of the Pioneer deck that was thrown in for free too!
