Each year for the past couple of years Retro and I have hosted minifests. And we are looking to do something again this year!
I would gladly offered to do this again this year unless someone else would like to give this a shot.

We were thinking sometime in September when the weather is a little cooler!

So what say you?

If Scott (Army) does host this event down in Cedar Rapids, IA., I'm sure some of the Twin Cities folks can car pool down to his place. I'll probably have room in my minivan for 2 or 3 extra myself. I'm sure Scott might not even mind making a weekend out of it, and we can pitch a tent on his property?

We can also have a swap/sale/givaway type meet at this Midwest Fest as well. Just don't mention any brand names or what you're bringing to sell or swap in this thread. Remember, AK has rules that prohibit this type of activity in non-classifieds threads.

Scott and I are just trying to get a feel to see how many people would be interested. We had a pretty good turn out at my place last year and I think around 14 or 15 AKers showed up there. By the way, we had a blast.

Now, who else is in?

Im going to be out of town the weekend of Sept. 22-23. Other than, I think I'm good.

I was thinking of a Sept. get together also.

At least that way, we'd have a definite date.

If you time it right in September, I can go watch my son in a cross country meet in Grinnell and stop in Cedar Rapids on the way back.

At this point I'm trying to zero in on a date, the Misses has informed me there is alot going on in September. I'll post a date if and when we get this sorted out.
