Hawaiian Mac's In the House

The McIntosh Trade-In Program was a huge success for me and I am "DEFINITELY HAPPY" , I took the plunge. I traded-in my 6300 for the C220 / MC252 combo and the difference is unbelievable. Still breaking it in but it sounds so SMOOTH AND CLEAR.

I don't think I can say it any better than what was in Alberto's video. :music:

check out the pics......the rack is simple and a little sterile but it works for me...lots of cross and side ventilation

What's on the horizon....HDTV...MVP 871....MS 750....MR 85 or vintage Mac tuner ,computer-based music ???? Geeez I might run out of room on my Mac rack :scratch2:

Very cool. You will appreciate that new gear for years. I see you have a pair of PMC GB1 speakers. Are you happy with the PMC's?

thanks everyone for all your kind words...

Dan...I am very happy with my PMC's....they leave a small footprint in my living room and they sound just great. The only other speaker I would consider would be the Wilson Audio Duett's.......but they are way too expensive :nono: I wouldn't mind hearing the Sonus Faber's..... but that would require a little road trip back home.

Nice Cisco; what kind of wood blocks are under the amp and pre?

exracer....these butcher blocks are made by mountainwoods.com.......16x16x2 1/2" thick. I picked them up cheap at Ross's for about $26 a piece. I need to get a couple more for more Mac equipment....::lmao:

What, no Sonus Faber in Hawaii? Hmm, maybe I should take a flight over there and see if I can open a small audio shop somewhere near the beach? :D Congrats on your new additions. :music:

Thanks.....of course it will be "AUDITIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY".......spend the rest of your time on the beach... :lmao:

sounds like a plan to me.......:thmbsp:

No need to apologize, you have a great system! It's an achievement to get to the level of sound quality you've risen to.
It seems that your MC252 does the same as mine - the left channel meter is lower than the right. I'll be the output is perfect at the speaker terminals, though.

Man, you don't have to apologize......we understand. Every time I click the power switch on my preamp, and everything jumps to life, I get a rush of joy knowing some rightous music is getting ready to pour over the room. You're talking to the club members here. Believe me......we understand! Brag all you want. We love it.

What Dan said!

Very Nice System! :thmbsp:

Thanks masterlu.....coming from the "ULTIMATE MCINTOSH OWNER" is an honor......

The only entity with more Mcintosh in one place would be the factory....but then again :scratch2:

Now that you mentioned it.... you're right. Is this a common quirk? Anyone else with the 252 noticed this? I will have to switch the speaker cables and see what happens.

addendum.....no change .... I can live with it ....maybe Ron-c or Terry can chime in on this....

Sometimes, I just cruise through the McIntosh forum looking at the systems on the signature lines. AK members represent millions of dollars worth of McIntosh purchases worldwide. From Meager-Mac to Mega-Mac the entire group represents a substantial impact on McIntosh sales. We hold a large chunk of McIntosh hardware under our roofs. Think about all the folks we expose to our Mac systems who are not McIntosh owners.....yet. Plant the seed, and watch it grow. Owning, and enjoying a McIntosh sound system is pure joy, a special journey unlike any other.
