Menage 'a Trois

Found a terrific red wine - made by Folie a' Deux in Napa.
It's a meritage - blend of Zinfandel, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. I don't know if it's distributed nationally, but give it a try if you like reds. Slightly sweet, nice for just hanging out and sharing with friends or with just about anything for dinner. It's become our "house wine" over the last year. Best of all, it's under 7 bucks a bottle at Sam's Club.

Enjoy the music,

Had some last night. It's terrific. Very balanced and complex. An overachiever IMO. "Two Buck Chuck" tasted quite thin after the Menage 'a Trois.

However, the Menage 'a Trois is a bit more expensive than $7 at a Chicago-area Costcos. Not sure if that is due to Illinois tax, regional marketing or a simple price differential. I do have it on good authority that it may have impressed certain buyers at Costco too.

It's $11 a bottle here on the east coast. It is a tad sweet, no tannins to speak of. Good for wine Newbies. Very good with BBQ'd ribs, works with the whole hot/sweet thing. Recommended.
