I picked up a pair of these for free. They are very well built inside and out. When I initially hooked them up, one had only the tweeters working and one only the woofer. I repaired one of the woofer voice coil wires that was frayed at the speaker terminal, One complete speaker:thmbsp:. Unfortunatly the tweeters on the other speaker both test open. :thumbsdn: Are these rebuildable?? What happens if I remove the 4 bolts on the magnet??

Here are some pics.

Actually rather nice speakers, though can't handle huge power.
Nothing good will likely come of loosening those four bolts -- unless you know exactly what you are doing, you'll almost certainly jam the voic coil. And the problem may be a bad cap in the crossover. Try replacing the caps with equal value electrolytics or film caps (better, but more expensive and less likely to be found at the local radio shack).
If that doesn't work, pm me since I have a singleton I don't use.

Nat,

Thanks for the response. The 2 tweeters in 1 of the cabinets both show no resistence:thumbsdn:. I had them disconnected from the crossover. I believe this means they are open??

They certainly are well built, but I hesitate to spend money on them as I can't find a lot of info on them.

PM sent soon.

Kurt
