Found this the other day... he's selling complete only...willing to ship.

"Here's my personal LP collection. I chopped off a couple feet on the right hand side in the photo and there's more in boxes than seen in this picture. There's nearly enough to open a store with. I'd estimate 3500 LP's. I didn't count each one but counted the albums in one lineal foot of shelf space. There's 80 albums in one foot of space and I have about 45 feet. There's also 45rpm singles that aren't shown, more than 400 of them.

I started this collection in the early 1970's and now I'm selling the entire collection together. One buyer, one transaction. I absolutely will NOT sell anything less than the entire collection. If I wanted to 'cherry pick' it or separate it, I would do it myself on eBay.

Lots of the album covers have some ring wear showing but others don't. Some have small writing on the front or back covers but nothing gross, these include covers that I wrote my name on (small size in ballpoint pen, but what an idiot). Some of the records I bought new and others were through secondary means. The condition of the vinyl records themselves is way above average. All of the records on the shelves are in alphabetical order and I'll include the letter dividers (A, B, C, etc)

$3500 FIRM

Let me explain how I based the value so there's no questions. Actually my formula is very simple, at $1 for each LP with approximatly 3500 in the collection it equals $3500.... If it's a double album, then it counts for 2 albums. If it's a 4 LP box-set, it counts for 4 albums. If it's a 14 album boxed set like the BC-13 Beatles shown, then it counts for 14 albums. (The BC13 set retails around $300) None in that set have ever been on a turntable. Couple more Beatles shown in the same photo.... "Two Virgins" with the brown paper wrapper intact and a "Meet The Beatles". Sorry, I don't have a Beatles butchered babies cover.

If you purchase this collection, then at the actual counting of the albums, if there is less than 3500, I'll discount $1 for each one that is missing. If there's more than 3500 LP's, then you get some 'free' records. The 45rpm records, I'll call a bonus and toss them in for free. Now that you understand my valuation, I will NOT haggle, will NOT barter, will NOT be talked down, and will NOT listen to offers. If you come to look and offer me less, then the possible transaction is done.

This is a diverse collection based on Rock 'N Roll but includes other genres.
I'd say about 65% of the collection is Rock 'N Roll.
There's probably about 25% Country and Bluegrass.
10% Exotica, Hawaiian, Reggae, Easy Listening, Soundtracks, Comedy and misc.

Here's the Beatles section, John, Paul, George and Ringo alone and together as the Beatles.

Beatles section

Also many lesser known artists like:
Ace, Al Caiola, Argent, Artful Dodger, Arthur Brown, Atlanta Rythm Section, Bachman-Turner-Bachman (early BTO promo), Badfinger, Baker Gurvitz Army, Beat Farmers, Bill Lamb Band, Blackbyrds, Blackhawk County, Black Oak Arkansas, Bloodrock, Blue Swede, Brooklyn Bridge, Butts Band, Captain Beefheart, Chordettes, Commander Cody, Country Joe & The Fish, Dave Brubeck, Delaney & Bonnie, Deodato, Dr. Buzzard, Dillards, El Chicano, Elephant's Memory, Fandango, Felix Cavaliere, First Edition, Flying Burrito Brothers, Four Preps, Four Freshmen, Four Knights, Gene Cotton, Gentle Giant, Ginger Baker, Golden Earring, Hot Butter, Hot Tuna, It's a Beautiful Day, JJ Cale, King Crimson, King Kurtis, Kingsmen, Kraftwerk, Lightnin' Hopkins, Malo, Marketts, Mike McGear (Paul McCarney's brother) Millionaires, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Noel Harrison, Northern Pikes, Small Faces, Smith, Potliquor, Pozo Seco Singers, Private Life, Prisim, Procol Harum, Ramatam, Ramsey Lewis, Ram Jam, Rejoice, Ritchie Havens, Rutles, Sabres, Spirit, Stone Poneys, Sugarloaf, Sweetwater, Ten Wheel Drive, Todd Rundgren, Tom Paxton, Traffic, Tubes, Vanilla Fudge, Velvet Underground, Wes Montgomery, West - Bruce & Lang, Woody Woodbury and lots more.

I always tried to buy interesting or more collectible which includes many "Promo" white labels, "Radio Station" copies with a suggested cut list sticker on the LP cover, some Import copies from Europe, Japan, etc, a few 12" promo singles, a few "Picture Discs", a few colored vinyl like the 1960 BB King record pictured. I have the "flaming" Lynyrd Skynrd LP, and other scarce copies. I'm going mostly off memory, so the unusual LP's or 'one hit wonders' are difficult to remember. I haven't messed with these or purchased a record in the last 13 years.

There's about 25% Country and Bluegrass in the collection. As far as the country goes, there's not much newer than Garth Brooks. I enjoy the more traditional style like, Barbara Mandrell, BR-549, Buck Owens, Charlie Pride, Chet Atkins, Charlie Rich, Dolly Parton, Eddie Rabbit, Ernest Tubb, Flatt & Scruggs, Freddy Fender, George Jones, Hank Williams & Jr., Highwaymen, Hoyt Axton, Jimmie Rodgers, Johnny Cash, Linda Ronstadt, Marty Robbins, Merle Haggard, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Patsy Cline, Porter Wagoner, Roger Miller, Tammy Wynette, Willy Nelson.........

There's 7 boxes of Country records that I don't have room for on the shelves.
Country records in boxes

The remaining 10% contains Exotica, Hawaiian, Reggae, Easy Listening, Soundtracks, (most James Bond) Comedy and some misc. No Opera, No Disco (well, maybe a few) No Rap, No Techno-Trans, No Brass Bands.... Barbara Streisand, Bette Midler, Boots Randolph, Cheech & Chong, Dean Martin, Debbie Reynolds, Frank Sinatra, Flip Wilson, George Carlin, Henry Mancini, Judy Garland, Kalapana,Lou Rawls, Nat King Cole, Peter Paul & Mary, Peter Tosh, Wailers, Wayne Newton,

Probably less than 30-40 duplicates in this entire collection.

Remember the 45 rpm singles that are a freebie. There's over 400 of them, probably some good ones in there. I know there's some Elvis and Beatles, DoWop, surf, country, oldies and lots of 'Promo' or DJ copies. Who knows what else is in there but I doubt there's any "Antique Roadshow" high dollar stuff. Most have paper sleeves and there are over 100 picture sleeves with the correct record inside. Some of these 45's are worn juke box take-offs. Some are scratched and some are in really nice condition but all of them should play through.

The last addition to this sale is a set of 4 used record collector books.

Lot of records, but lotsa crap too. Surmising maybe 500 keepers. The country, comedy, soundtracks and Mancini type stuff would end up at GW if I had it. I can buy that stuff all day long for pennies. I'm sure there are a few goodies, but not alot.

$1 a record? If the guy thinks there are special records here, then he should break them out and sell them separately. I think he's at least 3x or 4x out of touch on a reasonable bulk price for a record collection here.

There's probably about 25% Country and Bluegrass.
10% Exotica, Hawaiian, Reggae, Easy Listening, Soundtracks, Comedy and misc.

Ouch. This type of stuff comprises most of what fills the bins at thrift stores. 35% of the collection is this stuff? $1 each for 1225 of these? :thumbsdn:
