2SD188A 2SB545A replacement

Hello,
I am trying to find a replacement for 2SD188a/2SB545A in AU-4900.
Didn't expect that it would be so difficult. Eventually I found this link:

http://nte01.nteinc.com/nte/NTExRefSemiProd.nsf/$$Search?OpenForm

They have a replacement for every transistor I need.
It seems too good to be true.
Has anyone of you any experience with their products,
are NTE87/88 good replacement.
Thanks in advance.

Hi addr, welcome to AudioKarma. As a general rule don't use NTE. They are a consolidator that doesn't make any of the devices they sell. They relabel devices they buy from other manufacturers and then assign a big list of applications where they can be used. You don't know what your getting. Besides that, they are often several times more expensive than the going rate for a suitable modern replacement.

You can replace them with OnSemi MJ21193G and MJ21194G. They cost about $4 each and are available from digikey or mouser.

They are on driver board, see the attachment.
I think TO-92.

I dug around a little and this is what I came up with

2SC711E = Ksc945 This is a current production Fairchild part
2SC1951 = 2SC2611

The KSC945 recomendation is from another AK thread. The 2SC2611 recomendation is from the bd electronics website.

Google 2sc1951 and see if you can find the specs. That will make it easier to find a replacement.

Based on that information the ZTX694B from mouser or digikey is a near perfect match. Where did you find that list? Is there more of it available?

If you have a good spec sheet like the one you posted, it's just a matter of matching the specs. The major parts suppliers, like digikey, have search functions that let you search by specification. So do the major semiconductor manufacturers like on-semi, fairchild, toshiba ect. The ZTX694B and it's PNP companion ZTX795A as well as the MJE21193/194 are well known and widely recommended on this site.
