Solid Aluminum Caps?

Trying to fix a static noise in a Sansui Eight.
It's in the pre-amp (99% sure).
It was re-capped (no idea who or how well but I see mismatched caps on channels, so I may re-cap again).

I've replaced all the transistors (known noisy boys) but still have the static.
All that leaves are resistors, solid aluminum caps and mylar caps.
None of those parts have a history of "getting noisy" ... or do they?

I see people recommending replacing tantalums.
Are solid aluminum and tantalum caps related? similar? same thing?

Do Mylar caps "get old"? Noisy?

So far, all the resistors I've tested are fine but I don't suspect it to be resistor related.
