mc 2505 meter leds/nail polish and such!

I never liked the heat from the meter bulbs in my 2505. Though it might not be a big deal the heat was just too much for me. I tried reducing the heat build up by installing a small fan and drilling holes on the rear of the meter cover but it was not to my satisfaction. So I decided to build two led arrays from some left overs from a previous project. The leds were super bright , white in color and a preliminary trial did not looking pleasing to me ...just too white and bright, not matching the lettering at all.. Besides my amp is on a night stand next to my bed and wanted the meters to be not as bright as the stock bulbs. I used three leds per side and flattened the tips , painted them with yellow nail polish to closely match the tone of the incandescent bulbs. The leds were wrapped with heat shrink tubing as well as shown in the pics . The result is very pleasing with a color tone similar to the original , but not as bright , precisely what I wanted !They are powered from a 5vdc adapter , independent of the amps power supply. There was enough clearance to allow the meter cover to put back in place.
