Speaker Cabinet care - wood oil ?

Rob.

Super Member
Hello, just want to see what people are using to maintin thier wood speaker cabinets ?
I have a set of Pioneer HPM-100's with a walnut wood exterior.
What should I use and how often ?

I was thinking of using Howards Orange Oil or Howards Feed N Wax ?

Quite thoughtful of you to start a nice and useful thread here .
I laso have Pioneer HPM-100 , just finished recapping and restoration on them and was actually looking for right way to polish the cabinet. Thanks

I went to home hardware today and bought a bottle of the Howards feed n wax.
I applied it to my cabinets and I could tell a difference the way they look.
The cabinets looked richer and leaves a nice luster to it.

Money well spent.

PS: After seeing this pic, I was sold on it. :)

Anyone know how to lighten the "brusies" you see in this finish? I have read you want to use a steam iron to raise the wood (any dents or compressions) then use a fine steel wool with some Restorer to blend the bruised area and finish with the feed-n-wax.
