After living with a home theater and 2ch rig in the same room for 3 years I decided to rearrange my house. I moved my bed room into a smaller room, reorganized the home theater and made my old room into a dedicated learning room. I pulled out some old posters I've had since about 1996 plus one I got from AKer Wasatch. The room is 11x13 with an 8' ceiling. Im running my Altec/JBLs with my Fisher X101C right now. The next step wil be some room treatments but it sounds pretty good as is. Here are a few photos and one panoramic attempt.

I can't take credit for the speakers build. I picked them up from an old house. The original owner built them very well. Thanks though.

Cyprus hill, Manson to the Great Pink Floyd. Your tastes may be as chaotic as mine!!! Nice set up!:thmbsp:

That sure is a nice 2245. :D And I really need to get your C-4 back to you.

Can't wait to hear the new room. You need another chair though.

Yeah it would be nice to get the C-4 back. Not like I'm in a hurry for gear though. I'm currently checking classifieds for a small couch or another recliner as I sit here listening. I've also got a line on some acoustic panels.

@skriefal
These speakers were definitely a beast to move down here.

Just updated the photos. I put up some sound absorption panels up today. Nothing drastic but it definitely tamed the highs that were starting to give me listener fatigue. Now for some music.

Updated the System

I've changed up a few this since last year. I swapped out my Rotel phono stage for a Pro- Ject Tube Box DS and purchased a VPI Scout. The most visual change is the new cabinets I just had build for the Lambda/ Altec DIYs. They are a copy of the "mdf monstrosities" that dnewman04 designed minus the elaborate bracing. (Thanks for allowing me to use the design.) They took just over 5 sheets of mdf and are 1.5" thick weighing in at about 200lbs. They really extended the bass response and with the help of new x-overs have better separation and detail.
