Fixing a Dual AS-12 changer spindè' for 12xx series)

I won a Dual changer spindle for the 7 inch big hole singles.
It was in decent cosmetic shape but the first tests failed.
It doesn't work reliable. Some records don't fall down, sometimes it stops the loop even when records available.

I currently have it lying open on my desk. Wonder if it will ever fit together again :) .

The parts are in good shape, just hardened grease. A cleaning service should do it.

Oops, I've just put it back together. I'm testing.

Here's the best photo I have with the intestines in place. I didn't take much photo's.
I have filmed the tear-down and build-up. I'll post the link to that when the rendering is finished.

I've posted the footage of my teardown and test on youtube.
After a cleanup, lube and rebuild it works as new.
You should be able to see how the parts fit together in the rebuild part.

Thanks Jan. Great info on this rare part. Didn't know the model number for that part and that was a good help also Dual AS-12 45 record stacker

Jan,

Any chance you might be able to share those pictures and that video again?

(I'm in the throes of trying to get mine to work. All the AS-12 inside parts look good, cleaned, re-lubed, and I *think* I've got the table adjusted properly... but if I could confirm my re-assembly—that would go a long way!)
