Like how it has a DTS input that is actually just 5.1 analog. It is rated 600watt x 5 though. Must weigh about 150lb. :-)

Genesis Media Labs (not to be confused with Genesis Technologies but maybe they are counting it as several white van companies use names similar to well known real brands)is a well known WHITE VAN brand, I see the amp is made by them. Not sure if the speakers are as well.
Run
Away
FAST.
JUNK!

not another 3000w system for only 200... the deals these days.. they only get better :)

Yup, that's the bad Genesis.

Also, Theater Matrix, that's a new one to me. Are they water-cooled? Rofl kidding.

Checked out the brand on RipoffReport and lo and behold some guy bought a set from a guy in a van, hated them.

Edit: Today I learned there is a white van brand called Paradyme. I've seen close names before but this is pronounced the same way.

Also a list someone compiled http://www.ebay.com/gds/White-Van-Scam-Speaker-List-Fake-Speakers-/10000000177653117/g.html

No affil

Theater Matrix just SOUNDS white van-ish to me.
And vanish is what the seller will do with your $$.

Take a look at the receiver's label (on a back):
1. "Ultra Digital Labs" - WOW! Sounds high tech...some poor sucker will be really sorry after buying into it.
2. "Z3 Natural Sound AV Receiver..." - Does Yamaha know????

Don't worry about my money, the only way I would even consider going to check them out is to see how crappy they are.

Call me callous, but I don't feel bad at all for people who purchase white van products. The sad part is some people just can't tell what junk they bought :tears:
If the stuff dresses up their room with an impressive look of "stereophile", hi-tech and hasn't busted their wallets, and they're happy, that's what counts. :smoke:

You can tell from the sticker on the back... these look cheap. A high end company doesn't use a three cent info sticker on the back.

I'm not religious but I have a confession. I once bought a Genesis system from a van. It was a grey van so I thought for sure it couldn't be the White Van Scam. The speakers were heavy, they were brand new in wrapping. The sellers had a glossy magazine with a review of the speakers - all very audiophile good. They said they were installing them in a new pub and were delivered an extra set. They said they would like to make a few bucks rather than return them to their boss's warehouse. I was sucked in. I gave them my cash. I took them to my house and something told me "just don't". I checked the internet and my heart sunk. I was a victim of the White Van Scam. I gave them to a pawn shop for $80 and didn't feel too guilty, as pawn shops take things from my clients all too often. Still, I wish I would have at least hooked them up and tried to listen to them to hear what all the fuss is about.........

EBay has some articles about the many white van scam varieties, and basically the speakers are so bad they could damage your amp because of drops in the impedance curve. Their consensus was that a clock radio sounds better. No comparison to real quality speakers at all.
