Hpm-100

Back in 1984-1986 hard to remember..I had purchased a pair of HPM-100's from a pioneer dealer called "sound world",they only had hi end audio, and mostly pioneer..
these HPM-100's were the "clear DEMO" built speakers from pioneer, they were made out of about 1" thick acrylic or plexi, they look identical to the wood versions, they were for dealers to show how the HPM-100's operate/function.I used to lug these things around to park picnics/and company parties, and used to run them using a sony 70 watt per channel XM series power amp in my Van at that time, cause there was no AC power at the park.Anyways i gave them to my ex's brother about 4-5 years ago so that he could use them in his indoor pool area..they simply stopped working, and he only had a 25w per channel amp driving them..
anyways.. he is giving me those back..I dont know if anyone else has seen the clear versions, but i will post pics once i get them tomorrow..he wants my sansui SP-X8000's in return, which is fine as i think the hpm's are more valuable..
my question is are some of the drivers the same as the hpm-60's?..(mids-tweets?)..pics to come soon..

Cool. I have seen a few odd pairs on ebay at times but it would be great to see better pics.
How do you think they sound compared to the wood 100s?

There are two series of 60's. Each have different tweets and mids. Here are my 100's and 60's.

I must have the other HPM 60 series. On mine, with the exception of the larger woofers, all of the drivers are the same as the HPM 100's. The other differences would be the cabinets and the crossovers.
