I have a 2.5 and that is one impressive little turd! The sound quality is pretty darn nice on that thing! I hope to come across one of the 12.0's or 16.5's some day. Maybe luck will hit me like it did with the SX-1980! (yeah, and lightning strikes twice that often!)ha
I got rid of my other receivers shortly after getting the Concept 16.5 (with the exception of the smaller Nikko NR-1015).
What a great sounding receiver--and that is what it boils down to, the 16.5 sounds fantastic. A receiver that can make you or the unsuspecting think they were hearing a separates system. I kid you not.
Did ya get it I was pullin hard for ya!! I keep hearing all this talk about this beast but, didn't bid since I would have to ask someone for money. I Hate doing that!! Well I probably would not be able to use it in the next month anyways with the record rain here in Tucson AZ the Martin-Logans are silent barely a peep, any AK'ers in Tucson with a dehumidefer thingy, they're $200.00 at Home Depot for Christ sakes!!! That was half the cost of the 16.5!!! But, man 165wpc+ with the ML's sweet!! Hope ya got Bro'
Peace, Craig
Go Play nice at Michigan
Hi Craig: Nope, I got snipered at the finish line. My max bid was $10 below the winning bid. I'm not sure what the sniper's max was so it could have gone for much higher. Sam.

That got me thinking. Since we don't ever know what the maximum bid was on these auctions, I'm safely guessing there must be millions & millions of dollars out there in Ebay land that never changed hands...... :scratch2:
