What did I spend my money on this time?

Ok - small box: 12" x 7" x 7", weighs 8.7 pounds, & average wood veneer. There's a glue spot on the grill where a logo/name used to be, no name on the front or rear baffle.

Tweeter is a 1" textile dome stamped '29 ABR 87' - date stamp I guess.

Woofer is a 5" with a cast frame stamped 'ESS 620 W, 6 ohm, Max 60W, made in Taiwan'.

The standout feature is a 5" passive radiator glued into the rear baffle.

Any suggestions?

There is an old speaker company out of Sacramento called ESS.

I think they are still around to.

Perhaps that is who it is?

Better than the average computer speaker :D . They're hooked to my SX-440 in the office so I've only listened at low levels so far. I'll have to come in this weekend & turn it up.
