I am after "Gwen Stefani - Don't Speak on 12" Vinyl". I have looked everywhere but I cannot find it. Was it ever pressed onto vinyl.

Stupid late-20th century digital revolution killing the superiour vinyl and makeing people lazy by just being able ot press a button.

Didn't see one with my little curiosity search.

But I sure would like to have her Picture LP. It is one nice looking LP

MJR, so far, all I can find is that the band No Doubt had a 7" limited edition picture disc released in the UK that's now out of print. No 12" anywhere.

Hello, Thanks for the quick replies. I have been under the impression that 7" vinyls are of less quality. That's what I have seen of my own 7" and what I have read elsewhere.

I couldn't find the complete album either. Are picture discs as good a quality as regular vinyl? I may have to let this one slide due to lack of availbility. Cheers, Mitch.

From my experience, picture discs sound horrible. I am not sure why. I actually listened to some a few (very rare) of them this past week as I was reorganizing stuff.

Metallica - Ride The Lightening, Japanese pressing
Mineral Compositions - Early 80s Japanese Industrial Compilation
Creatures - Boomerang
Psychic TV - Godstar (with Brian Jones on one side, swimming pool on the other - morbid)
La Vagina - Sex (Nude women with her neck missing flesh)
Freedom In A Vacuum - Early 80s German Industrial Compilation

They are all very obscure LPs, some are actually filled with some pretty great music & they're really neat lookin'

They all shared one thing in common:

They all sound like sh*t.

There is just something about picture discs - they all have crappy sound quality.

If u want her picture disc, get it to display, not to listen to.

Cheers

I wouldn't say all picture discs sound like crap. My Srgt. Peppers disc sounds real good.

If you bought them used the previous owner probably played the crap out of them. :thumbsdn:

Is picture discs a label or a format? Not caps so assume not a lable but never heard of picture disc as a format. I'll be the first to admit I do not follow source formats oh, since about 1980 and only now looking for my first cassette player. I figure I'll be underground before I'd be willing to use CD as a main format and I'll not worry about the likes of mp3 at all.

No, the Pic Discs are not a label, they are just oddities.

By the way, I bought all the afore-mentioned pic discs new + sealed.

I have heard somewhere, sometime (a long time ago), that the color affects the audio quality. Something to do with how soft the slab stays or how deep the cutting is. Ridiculous perhaps, but somehow it might be true. My reasoning is that colored vinyl sounds better than actual pic discs. No pic disc sounds as good as regular black licorice, I've got a slew of pic discs, and none compare to black top. I am sure that there are exceptions to this generalization, but, in general, this holds true my friends.

Looks like it exists. I did a search on ("No doubt" vinyl) and clicked on a few links, and found one for 24.23 somethings (USD?).

I think the important point was that I was looking for "no doubt" not "gwen stefani", since that is the name of the artist (she was still with the group at the time).

This is the only one that I've been able to find. It's for sale but it does have a price tag. http://cgi.ebay.com/NO-DOUBT-LP-Tra...goryZ306QQssPageNameZWD1VQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

No wonder I couldn't find it... the nubcake made a typo :nono: :nono:

The price tag gives it a big :thumbsdn: in my opinion especially when I only like one of their songs. The only vinyl album with that kind of price was Michael Jackson: HIStory but that was 3 lps. Just bought 3 Jack Johnson albums for that price.

I guess I will keep my eye out for what I am after and give the seller many of these :ntwrthy: :ntwrthy: :ntwrthy: :ntwrthy: :ntwrthy: :ntwrthy: :ntwrthy: :ntwrthy: :ntwrthy: :ntwrthy: :ntwrthy:

I bought Tragic Kindom on cassette back when it first hit the stores just for Don't Speak. I like the song and it was a must have at the time. I'd be nice to have the lp but not for those kida figures lol. Pink was the next on the list to. I still prefer cassettes over the CD's for some reason,,,I quess a good tape deck's still hard to beat as it wont skip at insane volumes where I've had no luck shaking up the house with the CD players. :sigh:

I am only 16, so I may bust out a stupid move in a weeks time if it hasn't sold and buy it.

I "probably" prefer CD to cassette but then again, I dont really have decent tape deck. I am/was looking at a Pioneer CT-F1250 to buy for a decent deck. IMO, nothing comes close to the sounds of records. I have heard SACD/DVD-Audio is close but still not the real thing.

Aww man... I dont have a credit card. I'm only 16... stupid laws.

I will pay someone $40USD + whatever postage is via PayPal if someone buys it for me.

Just saw this... oops.

GEMM never fails. Okay, well very rarely. Speaking of rare.... $120?

On the plus side, GEMM accepts checks and money orders!

GEMM is great because most of the time you can find that rare LP you're looking for. But, oftentimes the sellers have some LPs listed at retardedly high prices.
