    JJ 6SL7's horribly noisy in my circuit

    I make a simple octal tube preamp. It uses a pair of 6SL7's by Tung-Sol. Simple topology. Input gain stage with 100k plate R and 1.8k cathode R and NO cathode bypass cap. Then tone stack, then 2nd gain stage just like the first. Then a gain pot into the 2nd tube which has each triode paralleled...

    sunday morning organ salvage comin down...

    tone board, amp and driver from a baldwin model 40 orga-sonic. been checkin out all the threads about a variety of amps pulled from baldwins. cant find a thread about this lil guy. i got a whole lotta of 6SN7s now to go with my frank stallone 12" single. anyone recognize the speaker?
