    Akai GX270D Speed control question.

    My Akai GX270D at 7 1/2 ips runs fine both directions. But when I set the speed at 3 3/4 and punch play it always energizes fast and then slows down to the 3 3/4 over several seconds. It does the same thing both forward and reverse. Once you hit stop, it's like the capstan defaults to 7 1/2...
