JBL C50 SR7 Amp questions
Hello my JBL friends. I recently purchased a pair of C50 SR7's. In fantastic condition. Now my question is power. I have (2) Carver TFM-15cb Power Amp and (1) Carver PreAmp CT-17 . Parallel-mono operation: why aren't many amps able to do it? What are the downsides?
Bridging seems to adversely affect an amplifier's capability to drive low impedance load. An amplifier rated to drive a 2 ohm stereo load (2 ohms on each channel) is only going to be able to drive a 4 ohm (or higher) bridge-mono load.
