    Tascam 122 Idler Tires

    Got a Tascam 122 today. Replaced the belts. Counter was weak, capstan was melted and a mess. Now it plays. But...(there's always a but). Fast forward and rewind are weak, and I have a tick...tick...tick sound when running. I think it needs new idler tires. See attached photo. If you look closely...

    CT-F9191 Idler B wheel

    I am repairing a CT-F9191. I have MTF’s repaired FF/REW clutch and new belts. FF & REW work flawlessly but the take up reel is slow to start when I try to record or play. It looks like the Idler B wheel is not turning the take up reel. I can give it a push to start it turning and it works...
