    NS-1000M woofers

    Hi, Just wondering about alignment for the metal plates on the back of the woofer magnets. I added a red arrow in the photo to point at the part of the assembly I’m asking about. They are not centered on the back of the magnets. I’m going to guess they are dust caps for the back of the assembly...

    Yamaha NS-1000 driver diffraction reduction

    I know that there is some worry that sound wave diffraction from the edges of drivers can be of concern. To reduce that on my NS-1000's I cut some wool panels to place over the mid and high drivers. The material is 1/2" natural wool felt and I have attached the laser cut file here if anyone...

    System fun: BX-1, C-2a & NS-1000

    I haven't had a system set up for a few years so I decided to pull gear out of storage. While playing I decided to hook a few Yamaha pieces up and the BX-1, C-2a & NS-1000s sound beautiful together. Never had the NS-1000 with the BX-1 before as I normally had them with the CR-3020.
