    Primaluna Prologue 3 pre-amp + solid state amp = problem

    My friend's Primaluna Prologue 3 (tube) pre-amp, when tied to a solid state amp, makes a popping sound when the pre-amp is turned on. When tied to a tube amp there is no popping when the pre-amp is turned on. Might anyone have any guidance on this? TIA. Phil
