    Thorens TD166 MKII

    I came across a Thorens TD166 MKII turntable with a missing power cord. Could be able to get it for 200$ but it's 2 hours away from me. The 16VAC 300mA (not DC) adapter might cost me around 50$. For 200$, is it worth it over my Sears 28668 (pretty much a Marantz 6100 replica) or my Pioneer PL-15R?

    Sears Professional Series model 28747 receiver

    I bought this one about a month ago, cleaned it, tried it all good. That's what I thought. After running it for couple weeks, each time an hour or so in low volume it lost the left channel sound but a hummm. Then when I removed the top cover, can see a resistor (green, blue, grey) is toasted...
