    Budget subwoofer for bookshelf speakers

    Any recommended budget or used subwoofer for bookshelf speakers (Monitor Audio Silver 100). This will be mainly be used for music, and preferably blend well with the bookshelf speaker. Amp/preamp are McIntosh MC2255/C29 and Sansui 9090 receiver.

    subwoofer blending

    I have a 2.1 system featuring a sony str-dh590 receiver, sony ss-u431av front speakers, and a klipsch r-120sw subwoofer. The only problem I have is the sound from the sub sticking out a bit, especially in regards to the kick (bass drum). How much the sub sticks out depends on the song...
