I've never seen a motorola with 17 speakers . . . or one that sold for $400 :thumbsdn:

I have one of those - Vibrasonic sound 17" (INCH) center speaker and ))) Stereo ((( 10" mids and tweets.... I think.. going from memory, definitely a VERY large center speaker either 17" or 18". Mine was found on my neighbors curb in working condition. The cab is HEAVY and looks like walnut with a Mahogany stain. All tubes inside.
Sounds pretty good for what it is but again its HEAVY. $400 wowsers... . It plays 78s tho...

bob - I think I might have the brother to your console - walnut finish, Drexel cabinet, and the multispeed changer .. however, it's got all Jensen drivers: 15 inch 'center / low frequency' woofer, 8 inch mids with whizzer cones, and (I think) 5 inch mid/tweeters . . .

the crazy thing is, I looked at it today, and the vibrasonic thingamajig is hooked up to its own mini tube amp and 8 inch speaker, right over the 15 incher ! :yes:
