I can't get my stereo light to come on. When I have a station tuned in best, I can't hear any difference when I switch between mono and auto. I haven't gotten to check the light yet, but thought I would hear a difference between the two settings if things were working right. I'm getting signals up to "4" and would assume that is strong enough.

Any ideas? It does sound good, but I don't really have anything to compare it to. My Yamaha gets really crappy reception...

you should hear a very pronounced difference. I would suspect the tuner section needs some work and that it is not the light.

Hook up a volt ohm meter to the light and then turn the unit on and tune in a station. You should get a voltagre reading when tuned in. If not... you have a tuner issues.

Have you checked to make sure you have stereo using the other input sources? If so then your problem lies in the tuner or board. Most likely the turner is out of calibration which will require a good tech with the proper equipment. You might want to consider an outdoor FM antenna since your Yammy also gets bad reception. Rare but not impossible for Sansui gear to have tuner problems as they are noted for very strong tuners.
