25e5 output wattage?

I had a Sansui 1000 with the 25e5 Tubes. My neighbor gave it to me for helping her. I powered it up on a variac slowly. I didn't even re cap it. It seriously needed it though. But It sounded Great !

Here is a short clip.

Hi
I have a sansui SM-80, with sane output tubes as 1000 (25E5 or PL36). Can someone help me with bias setting? It's dificult to read PL36 datasheet for 330V plate voltage. I had set it to 40mA but I'm not shure if its too muche or too less.
Thanks
Good question, spec sheet is a bit unclear to me but it looks like either 11 or 12 watts plate dissipation depending which chart I'm looking at. Going worst case and assuming 11 watts, 330v / 11w = 30 mA max but thats my best guess given available information.

thats also a sheet more aimed at TV duty so those ratings may be overly pessimistic for audio amp use.

Ya that’s probably a little high. I can’t find the manual online but the schematic shows what the grid voltage is supposed to be. Mine had the schematic taped to the bottom.

Thank you for your help.

I'm going to consider 11W plate dissipation and 55% of it. So, about 18.5 mA in each tube. I'm waiting for components for making individual bias control. I will let you know after that upgrade.
Regards
