A Sauber/Theissen rescue of BMW F1?

Now the BMW has gone public with their imminent withdrawal from Formula One, both Peter Sauber and Mario Theissen have both dedicated themselves to the survival and continuation of the Hinwil based team, already rumored to have provisionally lined up Ferrari engines for 2010, in the event...

In a fashion quite similar to Ross Brawn and the now defunct Honda F1, Dr. Theissen have been the standard bearer and brain trust for BMW F1 since their inception, and their many accomplishments are due, in large part, to his dedication, excellence, and sheer force of will. Is it so unreasonable to suggest that he and the remarkable Swiss , Peter Sauber, might be able to pull off a storybook ending for the team, a la Brawn F1? If so, it's beginning to look like the second era of the Privateer teams on the Gran Prix grid, which would be a glorious thing....:thmbsp:

Wednesday's deadline for signing the new Concorde Agreement came and went without the signature of BMW F1, costing potential tens of millions of dollars that would have been an immense help in the efforts to resuscitate Hinwil's hopes of appearing on the 2010 grid. Not the end of the road, but not a positive sign....
