Max...the java app is a trial version...so it does have the text line that say ####unregisterred copy...nlah...nlah...###please ask your...blah...blah. But the text you type is above this...it does show up...but so does the annoying message to register.

Have you gotten in Tim? It should work fine...I've had a couple people try it out...if you still have problems just give me a yell.

I sent you (and wards) the java files and the web chat page...it was just a quick version...and there are some additions I did plan to add(if that's alright)...but I just wanted to get a working copy of it up as soon as possible for people to see what it is (ad can do)...Looks like wards received them and installed them already too...COOL!


I'm at work today...I was going to make a few changes Thursday(when I get home) then I'll send them to you and wards...if there is anything you guys would like to see on the page...post the suggestions here.

Everything worked ok for me, I AM however going to try and sit down this weekend if possible and put together a step-by-step on how to download mIRC, how to install it and how to set it up and connect. I think that will help.

Also we need to start organizing a time for everyone to come in for about 30-60 min so we can get the registration done and solidify things.

why don't our nick names for the chat just be the names we regiesterd to post at AK? like my chat name would be Night Wolf, then you wouldn't have to worry about who picks what name first. (I use Night Wolf on anything that requires a user name)

I download mIRC, because when i used to go to AA alot, they said it was worlds better then the standerd java chat thing on the website, its ok, alot more complacated then just typeing a name and hit enter, but has alot more features.

what is all the information to get on the AK chat thorugh mIRC? like server name, and port stuff, all that. Thanks
 
Hi nightwolf...here's the info for the IRC channel that Tim M set up.

Atlanta.GA.US.Undernet.org (or your favorite undernet server is you have one)

Port : 6667

Then join channel #audiokarma
