Active crossover advice needed

I am thinking about getting an active crossover for a speaker project I have in mind. Parts Express has the Behringer cx 2310 for $ 87.99. Is this a good entry level choice? I have no experiance with active crossovers so would apreciate any advice. I have read that they are very adaptable to differant speakers and using an active crossover is easier than custom designing your own passive crossover. They also sound better and can be used for bi-amping. Anyone use an active crossover? Whats the skinny on the Behringer cx 2310?

I would look for a DSP based crossover so you can do arbitrary adjustment of delay, crossover slopes and frequencies as well. And the better ones also have parametric EQ. It's all about flexibility if you really want to dial it in.

The behringer dcx2496 can do this and is popular but it costs more than the one you are looking at. Most of the big prosound companies make similar ones. And then there's the minidsp which is a little different.
