ADS L-1090 vs L-780?

Hello all- new to the forum!
I have recently come across two pairs of ADS speakers for sale, one is a piar of L-1090 floorstanders and the other a pair of L-780 bookshelf/ stand speakers. The 780s are priced at $125 and the 1090's are priced at $175. Both are in very good condition. Dollar for dollar which would be the better value?

If you can swing it...buy both sets, use one pair for the music that mellows you out and the other to get get rowdy with

You can't have enough variety with the millions of songs it's nice to change it up

Even with this system I find myself changing up the four different pairs to be played in stereo for different genres of music. . When not being used as a home theater
 
The 780 might respond better to tube amplification because the dual woofers is a load for a low damping factor tube power amp. But the 1090 should be a better overall speaker. Same '84-87 availability and the 780 was $700 and the 1090 was $1050.
 
Nice pick up. I haven't heard the 1090, but do very much appreciate some other ADS I own. I have a feeling the 1090 are a serious value at the price you paid and you will enjoy them a lot.
