ADS L710--beige grill cloth?

Have an early cloth grilled pair of these speakers, and they need new grill cloth. I see from the ADS brochure (relevant bit below) that they came originally with either black or beige grills. Doesn't seem to be any photos of the beige out there on the web. Beige might look nice in my living room? but I'd like to keep close to the factory scheme. Anyone know what shade of beige those used? Approaching white like KLH or on their way to chocolate or someplace in between? I know, I know: there's always black.

If you can put beige on, you can take it off and replace it with (yawn) black or white. Go ahead - live life to its fullest.

I hear you and agree. It's just a reflex for me that any restoration, even if it's just grill cloth, has to stick as close as possible to the factory design. So I'm just here looking for a sense of what sort of beige ads originally used. It's not a big deal and a normal person would just pick whatever color looks best, but for me...well, it's something else for me to take up with a therapist I suppose...!

Just a guess here, but seeing that Cambridge address makes me think that product label was from the earliest days of ADS, possibly while still transitioning from the Braun brand. That said, these Braun L810's show a beige cloth that might be what was offered on your 710's.
