Advent identification help

Im having trouble matching these up with the advent ID thread in 'speakers'. Do they look legit, worth the 65?

Looks like NewLargeAdvent, NLA, in vinyl veneer utility cabinet. Most would easily pay the asking price for them. I wouldn't, but I'm not a fan.
I'd check that the reform was done correctly first, before I paid.
EDIT: NOT NLA! Plainly stated by seller as Advent Model 1. Model 1 cabinets are a bit smaller height/volume wise compared to NLAs, same exact drivers though.

They seem to be a later version of what we call the NLA, or New Large Advents. They are not the bullnose walnut version but the utility cabinets in vinyl "veneer". I believe Advent had some transitional versions.

Well worth the price in good condition.

Those look like New Large Advent Utility cabinets with the vinyl veneer. I think that they are worth $65 if all the drivers are working and the refoam was done properly. It's difficult to see the foam job from the photo. They could be Advent 1's that have the same drivers in a slightly smaller cabinet. Still worth the price.

Now that's funny. Looks like we all went to the same school. We should have put our hands up though, or "buzzed in" or something. :)

so, the consensus is NLA? how do these compare to OLA? I would stack these with some OLAs. The refoam looks to me to be round side out...I believe this is incorrect?

NLA, but as S.J. said and as far as I know, the Advent 1 was NLA but without the level control. I also think the metal surround woofer is correctly foamed the "regular" way.

I also think stacking with OLA would be fine. I have never stacked mine but I have OLA and NLA. Both had been refoamed when I got them, and both were refoamed the conventional way and they sound ok to my ears.

I bought an old receiver off of him a few months back. I believe he deals more with speaker reconing/refurbishment than anything else.He seems like he knows what he's doing as far as i know.....:dunno:

They are not New Large Advents they are Advent 1s. They are similar but have a smaller cabinet. They do not go as deep as the NLA.

 The seller says they are Model 1 right in the text of the original CL listing!
If one compares the Model 1 side by side with a NLA. You'd notice that the woofer is located on the baffle much lower, and very near to the base, on a Model 1, and the tweeter is located a bit closer to the woofer, AFAICT.
