Advice on stylus pressure

I just got my new stylus in the mail right now and I cant wait to hear how it sounds:D but I need some advice on setting the pressure. The cartridge is a Audio Technica AT910 and the stylus is a ATN12XE, and according to this website:

http://www.garage-a-records.com/atsty.html

the pressure for this stylus is 1-1.75. But I was wondering what would be the best pressure weight, should I go for the lightest, the heaviest, or somewhere in between?

I would set it at 1.5g. Anything from the median to perhaps 3/4 of the high end of the range.

I usually start at the high end and work downward in .2 increments until I hear distortion in headphones, then I go back to 1/2 way between max and the lowest that worked. But, that's just me. And some carts make their best bass near the max :)

I had an ATN12XE in an AT12XE which my daughter in Philadelphia has now and it always tracked well at 1.5 grams.

I have mine set at the "optimal" - 1.4g

Anything more than that seems to lead to a very apparent loss of transients and high end.
