Thread 'Altec Lansing 845B crossover help'

I have rebuilt an Altec Lansing 845B “The Verde” speaker that I have decided to finally build the crossover for. I have photos of the original crossover schematic (attached) but a few questions… is it an L-Pad or a potentiometer? Should I use an active crossover and bi-amp? Is there a better crossover design for these two drivers?
