Analog multi-cd player to bluetooth

Can a Pioneer PD-F1007 301 disk player be converted to Bluetooth? Unit is approx. 25 years old. Currently have this unit hooked up to a Pioneer VSX- 4900S receiver, listening through pair of non-powered Pioneer S-H151B-K 100W speakers. If possible, want to bypass wired analog speakers and listen to cd's on Bluetooth speakers remotely. Thanks for any suggestions.

Yup, you just need a Bluetooth transmitter. Some offer a Toslink interface, others, you'll have to use the player's analog outputs.

Of course, you'll still need to control the player using its remote - Bluetooth won't be able to handle that.

FWIW, I have never used bluetooth for the wireless transmission of audio, but have read many times here on A/K that using it for that purpose degrades the audio quality resolution from the original source (in your case the standard CDs @ 44.1/16) !
So understanding that, it would seem that there would be a reduction (to what extent, I`m not aware) in the CDs quality source using that audio transmission wireless type method !

Just so you`re aware, emufinder63.

Good luck, Sir.

The latest Bluetooth audio profile, LDAC, is still lossy, but reportedly gets pretty close to CD quality. The OP could look for a Tx/Rx pair that support LDAC.

Well then cpt_paranoia, very good then for the OP, as he can now look into going that route, if decent SQ fidelity is important to him.

I still prefer my Cat. 6 ethernet cable using baluns method for my whole house audio & video distribution requirements.
No signal lost, altered or scaled down since their 2009 installation.

I wouldn't go Bluetooth, but that's what the OP wants; a wireless connection to speakers. Though obviously, a power cable will still be necessary, unless they go for battery-powered speakers.

I might take the CD feed into my LMS server, and use the WaveInput plugin. I might even look at using an SPDIF to USB capture device, and using that as the audio source for WaveInput, rather than use an ADC to sample the analogue from the CDP.
