I use my Thorens 45rpm adapter with a Technics SL-B3 counterweight in it for a Disc Weight. This record is warped and it did a nice job flattening it out. I don't even have to adjust the sub-chassis springs because it doesn't add that much weight. I had the counterweight lying around from a Technics SL-B3 turntable I had many years ago but no longer have. The counterweight fits perfect in the adapter, I have the adapter upside down. Try it, works really good, won't get really bad warped records flat.

Interesting. I have a Thorens TD 165 weight laying around unused. I'll try it with the 45 rpm adapter of my Thorens TD 160.
