His Fur Peace Ranch is about 300 miles away in SE Ohio and they have a concert series there.
Just thinking out loud, but maybe a SMAC road trip would be a cool idea???
Did any else buy Jack's solo album? I liked it, although since it's more him playing with other fronting musicians and the music wasn't my style it's not a favorite.

Thanks for starting this thread. It reminded me that I had not played Blue Country Heart in quite some time. For those who may be interested, Blue Country Heart was released as a multi-channel SACD. The surround is not gimmicky, it just provides a nice ambience. Look for: Columbia CS86394 if you want the SACD. It is not a hybrid. i.e. The SACD will only play on a SACD player. All right, I read the sticky "calling All Aker's" while listening to one of my all time favorite's newer (2002) album "Blue Country Heart", a tribute to early country music, and figured I'd start this thread.
Big Tuna fan. I've had solo Jorma on my list for quite a while. This thread reminded me. I just picked up Barbecue King on eBay.
Thoughts on BBQ King?

Any Jorma Fans?
Cool. I wonder who were doing more drugs, the band or the audience.![]()
