Hmmmm .... sounds like maybe the wrong interconnect came with my Sumiko and maybe it's got a ground to nowhere. Did you ever find an answer to your Sumiko question?

Do your players look like either of these attached pics?
The first one is the GL-88 circa 1962 - a poor man's 301 and the second is the GL-99 circa '65 - poor man's 401.
"Poor man" in their day - but not today. And you have two of these?
