Any Reel guys interested in a tape swap?

Glad you enjoyed all the tapes, and I am glad to hear that all the decks are in good alignment. I was wondering as I was making the tape since I have owned my 707 deck since new and never had a major service done on it. I was wondering though, on the tape that had some speed fluctuations, could it have been mine? It also was recorded on a RT707. It does have a funky monitor switch so I wouldn't be surprised if the speed switch was also. Either way I should probably clean all the switches.

I'm sure it was Don's tape with the funky speed. Still, you might as well clean the switches.

Sorry I have been away (from the net) for a while. :sigh: Who knew that retirement could be so busy. How did I work before?

Dr*audio I should be getting you a tape in the next day or so.

I have just been busy with my studio all of a sudden, that it is hard finding time to listen to other recorded music. You guys are in for a real treat this next time.:yes: Unless you don't like rockabilly!

7" Update

7" UPDATE I have posted a 7" update to everyone's private email. On here it looks as if tapes are moving and we are getting close to the end, about 2 or 3 stops from what I can tell.

I just sent Steve's 7" tape to Don in AZ, from there it goes to LA, then to Mark in MA, then it gets returned to Steve in MI.

Please let me know, via email, if there are any problems. Continue, as you have been doing, to post on the forum when you ship a tape, to who, PLEASE LIST THE SIZE as we have to groups and some are on both lists.

10.5" Reel Update

10.5 List Update

I sent an email to everyone's private email with an update on the 10.5 list. As I explain in the email there is a bit of a log jam which we are working out.

When you do receive a tape, or send a tape, please post that information on here so that everyone can see how things are starting to move again. Also please be sure to specify the size, we have two groups on here, some folks are on both groups, so it makes it less confusing if you state that you are sending a 10.5" tape to ________.

If you have any specific questions, please respond to the email I sent to each person in the group. If you did not receive my email, you need to contact me with a current email address.

When does the next 7" tape swap start. I just bought an AKAI GX 255 last weekend and might be interested in swapping tapes.
 
Gotta question. Whose tape was Rachel Z & trio @ nighttown recorded 3-18-05. An off air tape from WCPN in Cleveland? It has Warrens Tape list in it. Is that yours Warren? :D :thmbsp:

Finally got Wordman's 10.5" tape in the mail to Luther. Sorry for the delay. I have no other tapes right now.

I received 4 10.5" tapes on wednesday 5/16. I am listening as I type. I will ship one to Don in Wilmington Monday AM

As will be your tape Dr*Audio :D I should get it and another out possibly tomorrow. As I am now down with my travels (for a while), I can concentrate on things here in my studio with my toys. :D :music: :banana:
 
Recieved Steve's tape in the mail yesterday, I am anxious to listen to it as it looks like a great variety of music. Very much along the line of what I listen to.
