Anybody have info on Electro Voice receivers? pics inside
I had a friend of mine give me an old Electro Voice EV-1278 reciever. I was curious if anyone here had any info on these. Tags on the bottom read as follows:
Silver sticker on bottom:
Electro Voice Model E-V 1278 am/fm stereo receiver. Power consuption 8 watts min-72 watts max. Electro-Voice, Inc. Buchanan, Michigan
Small black sticker above and to the right of the big silver one:
Power Output: 36 watts continuous @ 8 ohms, 65 watts IHF @ 4 ohms
Green sticker(on right looking at bottom):
Electro-Voice AM/FM tuner. Serieal No. 11115 unit.
Red sticker(on left):
Electro-Voice amplifier serieal No. 17754 unit.
Controls on the front are as follows:
Top row:
Bass, treble, selector switch, balance, volume, tuner knob and signal meter.
Bottom row:
phones, mono/stereo switch, tape/source switch, speaker mute/on switch, loudness on/off switch, am/fm switch and a switch under the tuner knob that is labeled AFC on/off.
This unit does power up but I have not hooked up speakers or a source to it yet.
