au-999

Hey guys. Needed your opinion on something. Have the opportunity to buy a au-999 for a reasonable price, but not sure what could be wrong with it. It powers up but no sound. I know it could be a lot of different things but wondering whats the worst it could be?

Easy: Fuses, dirty controls, improperly set-up, missing pre-out/main-in jumpers (if the AU-999 has them), speaker selector switch in wrong position

Not so easy: Blown outputs, drivers, wandering offset/bias. Bad power supply/supplies..... the list continues.

Disaster: Someone already tried to "fix" it and decided to tweak some things inside.

Either way, the AU-999 is worth saving. Very popular and desirable, so if you do get it, don't feel to bad about sending it somewhere for service.
