Audio equipment you regret you sold !

Perhaps the greatest single audio product I've ever owned was an Allison Electronic subwoofer . For an individual in love with acoustic suspension loudspeakers this Allison ESW was a Godsend . If you had a classic era acoustic suspension loudspeaker this device would extend the bass down to 20 hz . The other audio gear was a pair of Anniversary large Advent loudspeakers . With this electronic subwoofer and the Advents I never missed having a separate subwoofer . With test signals and music at 20 cycles I could hear the air shutter in the room and pressure in my ears . This was my first encounter with true bass tones at an affordable price . This thing really did work wonders with a good sealed box speaker system . I really miss that Allison Electronic subwoofer . Looking for one at a reasonable price , hopefully .
I have a pair of Realistic Mach 1's and often wonder what the Allison ESW would do for their in room bass . Sellers on ebay are ridiculous in their pricing of this item when it show up . Anyone here ever sold a piece of audio equipment and lived to regret it . If so please post product name and why you regret selling it .

Nakamichi Dragon CT. Not so much regret selling as it was for a good cause (paying insurance for the fam while unemployed) but disappointed that it didn't survive the financial setback.

I would regret burning Klipschorns if they didn't help make such tasty hotdogs and s'mores.

Wow that list would be long. 2sets of carver amazing. Sunfire amp. Polk 2.3 marantz
2275 pioneer sx1250 just to name a few.

Zenith EL-84 tube amp I rebuilt. It looked N-I-C-E and sounded even better, I really did this one up. Needed the cash and ended up selling it on eBay for just about exactly what I had into it in upgrades... sad, really.

That thing is pretty similar to the Audio Control Epicenter I used to use in my car stereo. I loved that thing.

Carver C2, Carver M500, Yamaha T1000, Infinity RSM . . . My entire system pretty much, save the Denon DP30LII & DR-F6 and Maggie CDB-586, which I still have . . . i was a hapless victim of WAF and the great home-theater migration . . . I have since replaced the Infinity's and continue to search for the Carvers . . .

Two things come directly to mind: My old Onkyo A-7 integrated amp, and my old Yamaha CA-1010 integrated amp.

Sold a limited edItion VTL Tiny Triode monoblocks about six years ago and have been looking to get a pair back for two years with no luck. I've seen them on Audiogon but it gets sold before I can get to it. :(

The thing I regret the most is having to give away about 150 mint LP's when I was discharged from the service in 1968. All that music from a fantastic era in rock. Was able to replace some, but no where near all of it

Never sold any. But I did give ' m a n y ' away. Don't regret any give-a-ways at all. They all went to a good homes.

The only thing I kept, or to say it better - still have, for some reason of which I have no idea, is a Technics EQ. It went through a volcano in '91 and still functions perfect! It's in my wife's Sony system now.

They sure made 'stuff' in the old days, not that 1991 is that old. Now ya buy a Sony DVD player and it doesn't even last '15 playings'. No problem, just calmly disconnected it, took it out front to the driveway, and 'smashed it'.

I regret selling almost everything I've sold, but I know I can't keep it all. I wish I still had my Pioneer SA 8800, my Sansui 7070, my Shure M91ED and the Technics SL-23 it was attached to, my Carver C9, and a whole host of really, really vintage speakers from the '50's that I ditched before I even knew what the heck I was getting rid of.

Not to mention my Fender Bassman 50, but that's another story.

I also have another list of stuff I wish I hadn't bought to begin with, but you probably don't want that list. ;)
