Audiophile's dream

The woofer looks like a Scanspeak/Seas. Tweeter looks Euro to me, also.

The ad is written by someone with little knowledge of audio and a propensity for BS. If the cabinets were solid hardwood, they would weigh considerably more than 25 lbs.Untested, unlistened to because an audiophile wasn't around. His listing is run as an auction. I don't participate in those on CL, even if it was a Steinway for $100.

There needs to be a mystery science theater 3000 type site for craigslist posting, so folks can fire off funny commentary about the listing - I know that some folks feel compelled to email the sellers and give them any eyeful of harsh words. I think it would be better to let them vent their opinion about the listing in a way that is not aggressive towards the seller, but comical for all the readers. Call it griping or bitching or whatever but some of the listings really invoke some inner commentary that just needs to get vented.

"Audiophiles Dream" I love it. The guy with the Denon 1001 amp on another site is an award winner too. I blame infomercials and TV marketing in general for the over the top sales pitches that some folks post. If it's done to be funny I'm all for it. but these dudes are dead serious.. lines like: " If you're looking at this, you already know that its high end..." blah blah blah..

This listing like so many others are just funny. it's a GO FISH listing where the person selling has little to no information to provide but wants to see if he/she can get folks to essentially BID to get them from him/her. Bad pics , no info, broken item. but you need to make an offer and they will decide if it's enough for you to take home their unknown treasure. I wish it were that easy haha

I've gone WAY off topic though.
Woofer looks like something out of an infinity or old paradigm or PSB speaker. :)

There already is. Follow "What I learned on Craigslist". It's usually always on the first page here.

I particularly like how "The highest reasonable offer will be considered and others will be ignored"
so unless you win, you will be ignored

They look like a shop class project to me. Radio shackles wire fasteners and just a hole for a port... Bet that's not tuned to anything.

I just woke up from a nap and didn't see those speakers while sleeping. I suppose I don't rate. :(
