Audioromy 838 (805A) info needed...

Picked up an Audioromy model 838 with 805A tubes. Has 6N5P (6AS7) and 2x12AU7 and, I think, 2x6DJ8. Problem is I found a 6N4 tube in 2nd socket. I have to assume it should be 6DJ8 but... does anyone know tube complement for this amp and what tubes go where for driver section? Any manuals or schematics out there. Also I guess it is solid state rectified...any info would be appreciated!!!! :scratch2:Thanks, Tony

Just noticed that power plug info says 220V, 50Hz, 250W!!! Does this mean I have a 200V model? If so what can I do to convert it to 110?? Freakin Chinese stuff... is there way to check power xformer to see if this is correct or is 110v...

well, it will not blow up if it is set to 230 and you plug it in to 120, just all the voltages will be 1/2.

if you have a meter, you could plug it in, and then measure the 6.3 volts on one of the 6dj8 filaments on the socket, and see where you are.

then look to see if on the primary side there are two windings hooked in series, if so, those would get paralleled for 120 operation.

better wait to confirm with someone that has one, or has the schematic.

if only a single primary, you will have to use a 120/230 transformer externally, or wire up a 230 circuit. if you bought it domestically, one would think it is setup for 120, but you never know.

Bought mine at Radio Fest. It is a 220v version and does not work so no feedback from me on sound and performance. Since then I have also found that there are no schematics, no company to call and ask, no parts, etc.. I would look elsewhere for an amp...
